Will there be storms today?

The morning risk estimate lives right on this page — computed from model CAPE (convective available energy) for 31 cities, summarised per region. Once storms actually form, the page switches to live tracking with arrival times.

How accurate is the arrival time?

Up to 30 minutes out the estimate is usually within ±5–10 minutes; treat longer leads as rough — storms turn, grow and decay. Times recompute every minute from the newest radar frames.

Where does the data come from?

From ČHMÚ radar composites (every 5 minutes) and real-time lightning detection. Cell motion comes from our own nowcasting computed directly on the frames.

Why is my city not listed?

Only cities where a storm is ongoing or due within the hour are shown. An empty list means all clear — good news.
